THERMAL DISPERSION
An Independent test demonstrated that HPEV’s technology increased motor efficiency by 1 to 2 points and improved power density by 20-40%. That’s 20-40% more output torque when compared to a motor of the same size package and design.
How?
HPEV’s thermal dispersion technology transfers heat via heat pipes with unique capabilities. The heat pipes move heat in ANY direction (even against gravity) and require little or no maintenance. The cooler a motor runs, the greater its potential output.
Add composite heat pipes to almost any electric motor, generator, or alternator and the result is a smaller, more efficient, higher output machine that runs cooler with a longer operating lifespan and lower maintenance costs that benefit manufacturers and end-users.
Consider the dry pit submersible water pump… HPEV delivers liquid-cooled, explosion-proof results in a totally-enclosed package for continuous operation and unmatched power density. Plus, no water jacket, no overframing, no effluent or closed loop cooling, no additional pump, and no filters to remove contaminants.
HYBRID CONVERSION
Heat Pipes quickly transfer heat away from a heat source at a rate several thousand times faster than copper. Plus, they’re passive (no moving parts, no external power) and maintenance-free. As a result, they’re far more reliable and less expensive than pumps or fans.
Heat pipes enable motors and generators to run cooler. The cooler a motor runs, the more energy it generates, the longer it lasts and the less maintenance it requires. Any kind of motor or engine– electric, gas, diesel, boat, or jet- – can benefit.
In fact, HPEV heat pipes benefit anything that generates heat. That includes brakes, bearings, axles, turbochargers and more.
Although heat pipes have been around since the 1880’s, HPEV composite heat pipes incorporate a number of firsts:
- They aren’t dependent on gravity
- The heat generation end is separate from from the cooling end
- They’re fully functional regardless of legnth
- They can be shaped to fit any design or mold including engine blocks.
MOBILE ELECTRIC POWER
HPEV can add auxiliary power to any Class 2-6 vehicle without hybrid conversion -enough to power 8-10 homes for 8 hours.
Our patent-pending gearing system can run an on-board generator from the vehicle’s internal combustion engine. It eliminates the need to tow a generator to a work site. The vehicle can become a mobile generator to power compressors or equipment at the jobsite. In the event of an outage or disaster, it can provide emergency power where ever it’s needed to keep operations running.
Inch for inch, pound for pound, no other alternator packs more power. The secret: HPEV’s thermal technology.
Mobile generators weigh about 4,000 pounds. HPEV’s auxiliary power package weighs 1,000 pounds and costs less than 1/2 the price to manufacture.
HPEV also adds generators to its hybrid conversions.
Either through licenses, royalties or sub-contracting,HPEV maximizes the value of its intellectual properties.Current totals:5 patents awarded,12 patents-pending.
